Here are a few things that have been said to us recently:
As part of the NYMR Railway at War event we booked the band to play in our Community Hub aka The Hut Goathland. What a fabulous night we had, great music, lovely people & a super sound, & a good nigh was had by all. So much so we've booked them for next year.
What a fantastic band filled with fantastic people!!
From the day we first saw Swingamathing at Tapton Hall wedding fayre, we knew they were just what we were looking for. The style, the sound and the talent of all the musicians is outstanding...and to top it all off, the professionalism and personal touches from Suzanne and the band were just perfect.
They added our favourite song to their repertoire for our first dance which just made the wedding reception perfect for us. Suzanne was great at keeping in touch via phone and email throughout the whole wedding planning process - we even bumped into the band when they were performing at the RHS Chatsworth flower show and we chatted about our upcoming wedding then too when they took a break! We really couldn't have asked for more from each and every one of them.
All of our guests LOVED the music, and our evening do was filled with dancing and appreciation for such a great performance. People were still talking about them days after. Thanks so much XX

Good morning Suzanne
We just want to say a huge thank you to you and the guys for being part of our party. Everyone enjoyed it and the comments about Swingamathing were fantastic. We couldn't have done it without you. Your sheer professionalism, not only your act but just dealing with the arrangements and business side of things made it a joy.
Thank you to you all and we hope to see you again soon.
Sincerely, David & Jane. X
I just wanted to say a huge thank you to you and your 'boys' for performing at my brother's big birthday bash. SwingamaThing were the absolutely perfect compliment to the evening, and the music you played was the very essence of what I'd imagined when putting the evening together. Clearly you all know your instruments and swing music intimately, creating a big old sound that had the whole place swinging! Properly effervescent and energetic. You all looked the part too, we could have sworn you were going to unpack tommy guns with your instruments! I am going to fish out my granddads ties and braces and get myself a hat for the next do!
I was sorry I didn't get to thank the band individually so please pass on my very best wishes to them all, they made the evening complete and I heartily recommend you to anyone wanting to create a happy bouncy be-bopping joyous lively swinging thing!
With my heartfelt thanks
I just wanted to thank you and the band for helping our birthday party go with a swing last Saturday. The atmosphere was brilliant and you all looked the part at our vintage themed night. Everyone commented on how much they enjoyed watching you and listening and dancing to your fantastic music.
If we ever need a band or hear of anyone who does you are top of the list!
Thank you again

Swingamathing played at our wedding and were absolutely sensational. Suzanne and all the band contributed to making our wedding absolutely fantastic. The music was perfect and every single guest commented on how brilliant the group was. They adapted to our schedule, had been in touch beforehand to enquire as to whether or not we had any particular requests, and tailored their performance to our evening. From dedicating a special song to the two of us, to performing in a charismatic, lively and thoroughly enthusiastic way, we couldn't have wished for a better band or nicer group of people. We wouldn't hesitate in recommending this band for any event - they were well and truly fabulous and we feel so grateful that they played for our wedding. Even their outfits contributed to creating a fantastic atmosphere! Thank you Swingamathing!

Suzanne Just a very short line to say thanks very much to yourself and the band for such a wonderful performance on Saturday. Without exception everyone has said "and weren't the band fantastic". In fact it may have affected the dancing as many people also said they could have listened all night!!! Some achievement in view of the age ranges. It was very much appreciated and thank you all for making Di's party such a great success. We will certainly have no hesitation in using you again or recommending you to others.
Very best regards Tim
Razzmatazz jazz and swing with a fizz... this band created magical music that brought our wedding party to its feet.
Professional, helpful and absolute fun - highly recommended.

Running a weekly swing night has meant coming into contact with many bands and to date, none of them have captured the feel of 1940's quite like swingamathing. The quality of the musicians, the outfits and the overwhelming presence of the group was definitely impressive. Aside from their professionalism, it was also great to find that every member of the band was enthusiastic, vibrant and warm! The audience love them and so do we. Swingamathing are now a regular feature at my night and I can't recommend them enough!

Hi suzanne and the troop,
Just thought I would drop you an e-mail to thank you for a fantastic new years eve. Your band were absolutely superb and the regulars have not stopped talking about the evening all week. The whole band were very friendly and accomadating and everyone thoroughly enjoyed the evening.
Thank you so much once again, you are perfect for our venue and we would be delighted to confirm next new years eve as a booking if you are able to do it.
The Old Red Lion, Grenoside. New Year's Eve
'Jazz Scene' for Thursday 24th. From C.J.Worsdale.Although 'Jazz into Doncaster' voluntary committee does not always 'get it right' when selecting live bands to perform at it's events, few could accuse it of not providing a wide variety of attractions!! Most recent of which was a new band to the 'Con' Club, 'Swingamathing' who refreshingly base there vibrant style on the Swing Era and the 'Jump-Jive' of Louis Jordan, Louis Prima and other 'greats' of the genre.
Led by lead singer and founder Suzanne Tomlinson, the seven piece outfit offered up two infectious sets of varied and lively numbers, including Swing is the thing / Is you is or is you ain't my baby / Peggy Lee's hit?OK, alright, you win / Pennies from heaven/ Boogie-woogie bugle boy of company 'B' ( with Suzanne joining vocal forces with the band's two girl sax players, evoking the pioneering harmonies of The Andrew Sisters) , all of which delighted the responsive audience and even attracted pairs of jivers to 'strut their stuff' on the dance floor!!
Suzanne and company are certain to be invited back to the 'Con' Club for a return gig pretty soon...And if plans come to fruition, will be among the attractions at Doncaster Markets Jazz Day in May....Meanwhile, why not 'check 'em out' on their website www.swingamathing.co.uk and maybe purchase one ( or more!! ) of their CD's, which will make ideal stocking-fillers for fans of Swing Music!!
